Tabbed Launchers
Add multiple tabs to a launcher
UserIQ has the ability to add multiple tabs to a launcher. Tabbed launchers are helpful when you want to categorize specific guided tours that fall under a category.
As seen in the image below, we provide the option of having 1, 2, or 3 tabs within launchers. Each tab allows you to add and arrange engagements.
In what scenario can I use a tabbed launcher?
Tabbed launchers can be useful in the following two example scenarios:
- When you would like to separate different types of engagements – A simple use case is when you already have different kinds of engagements created in your app and would like to create a launcher that segregates these engagements under specific tabs titled „Guided Tours”, „Announcements”, „Info Bars”.
- Functional tabbed launchers – A simple use case for a functional tabbed launcher is when you have basic features and advanced features in your app and you would like to categorize all the engagements concerning basic features vs. advanced features.
How do I create a tabbed launcher?
You can create a tabbed launcher using the same steps that you would use to create a regular launcher (click here for the steps), the only difference being – you would select either 2 tabs or 3 tabs from the predefined set of Launcher configurations.
NOTE: You will need to set all the engagements within the launcher to preview/active to be able to see the launcher on your app.
