What is the User Adoption Expedition?
The User Adoption Expedition is the show we’re taking to four cities across the U.S. to bring top SaaS professionals together for an authentic, face-to-face conversation about the challenges and best practices for driving user adoption. After a successful first camp in our own backyard of Atlanta, our compass is pointing north toward the Big Apple!
We’ve been talking about all things user adoption for some time now. But in order to equip you with the tools you need to build a strong user adoption program at your organization, we want to help you facilitate the conversation with people who are doing it today; that’s where the User Adoption Expedition comes in.
Adoption is a frequently overlooked step in the customer journey, but it’s significantly harder to reach stages like retention and advocacy without it. That’s why the New York City Camp, on June 19th at WeWork Lounge at Soho, will include a panel discussion about common hurdles that SaaS businesses face when it comes to onboarding and adoption and share real-world examples and proven tactics to build a user adoption strategy that can be implemented as a company-wide effort.
This won’t be your standard roadshow. Come grab a few brews on us, meet some stellar new people, and take a few lessons back to your team.
Who will be there?
In addition to fun, food, drinks and networking with all the best New York SaaS companies, our expedition guides will give you their take on the latest trends around customer onboarding and how they achieve their goals around adoption with their day-to-day tactics.
Jonathan Bartlett – VP Product at Contently
Jonathan is an expert in enterprise B2B product management with 20 years of experience bringing innovative and award-winning solution-driven products and services to market, growing revenue, and leading cross-functional teams. Prior to his role at Contently, Jonathan served as the VP of Product at Mimeo, leading Mimeo’s Digital Solutions business in disruptive product innovation and development.
Jesse Brightman – Head of Customer Success at stensul
Jesse is a leader a Customer Success leader with 10+ years in SaaS and marketing experience. He is currently the Global Head of Customer Success at stensul, an email creation platform for the enterprise. Before stensul, Jesse held leadership positions at Percolate and VaynerMedia, and and was a consultant working with Bessemer Venture Partners helping startups scale their customer success organizations.
Chad Horenfeldt – Vice President, Client Success at Updater
Chad is a Customer Success executive with 15+ years experience building and developing high performing Customer Success teams. Currently, he is the Vice President of Client Success at Updater. Prior to Updater, Chad has held CS leadership positions at Bluecore, Influitive and Oracle (Eloqua). Chad has been named to Mindtouch’s top 25 Customer Success Influencer list for the last two years. He writes regularly on the topic of Customer Success on his blog The Enlightened Customer.
Marc Johnson – CMO & GM at Bombora
For the past 20 years, Marc has helped marketers better understand the changing behavior of technology enabled consumers. He has developed data-driven businesses spanning online advertising, social media, search, point-of-sale and survey, programmatic media, SaaS analytics, digital video and beyond. Before serving as CMO at Bombora, Marc served as the CMO of Resonate, a venture-backed analytics and audience targeting company, named a cool vendor by Gartner and a four-time Inc. 5000 company.
Lauren Pica – Director of Marketing Communications at Outbrain
Currently the Director of Marketing Communications at Outbrain, Lauren has spent her 7+ years of marketing scrappiness doing everything in her power to gain and retain happy customers.
